Clenil Compositum Inhaler contains Albuterol adn Beclomethasone (Dipropionate). Albuterol is a beta receptor agonist which is a short acting agent and used only in the management of acute episode of asthma. While Beclomethasone is a synthetic halogenated inhaled glucocorticoid. It used for treating steroid dependent asthma, for relieving symptoms associated with allergic or nonallergic rhinitis or for preventing current nasal polyps following surgical removal.

Clenil Inhaler Composition

100 ml of sterile suspension contain:

Active Ingredients:

  • Beclomethasone dipropionate 0.040 g
  • Salbutamol sulphate 0.0964 g equivalent to Salbutamol 0.080 g

Excipients:

  • Sodium chloride
  • Polysorbate 20
  • Sorbitan monolaurate
  • Water of injection

Clenil Spray Indications

Clenil Compositum uses for Treatment of bronchial asthma. It also uses for chronic obstructive bronchopathy with asthmatic component.

Clenil Contraindications

Belcomethasone dipropionate (Clenil Compositum) contraindicated in active or quiescent viral and tubercular local infections. Subjects with individual hypersensitivity to the components (beclomethasone dipropionate and salbutamol). Generally Clenil Compositum Inhaler contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.

Clenil Compositum Inhaler Precaution For Use

Treatment in patients with concomitant treatment with systematic corticosteroids needs particular precautions and a strict medical control. Only following a continuous hyperdosage a certain degree of corticoadrenal atrophy may occur. Sympathomimetic agents should very cautiously used in patients who can be especially sensitive to their effects. In patients with coronary artery disease, arrhythmiae, arterial hypertension. And in patients with glaucome, hyperthyroidism, pheochromocytoma, diabetes. Or prostatic hypertrophy the Clenil Inhaler should be used only in case of absolute necessity.

Concomitant administration of the Clenil Compositum with beta blockers (e.g. propanolol) is not recommended.

To be used only in the starting period and not for prolonged treatments (continued treatment exceeding 10 days is not exceptionally to the drug classic systemic side effects. Clenil Compositum Nebuliser Dosage Administration

Clenil Inhaler Dose For Adults:

1 monodose vial per nebulisation 1 - 2 times a day

Clenil Inhaler Dose For Children:

Half monodose vial per nebulisation 1 - 2 times a day.

The monodose vial has a serigraphed mark corresponding to half dose.

Instruction For Use Of Clenil Compositum Inhaler Monodose Vial

  • Use the monodose vial according to the following instructions
  • Bend the monodose vial in the two directions
  • Separate the monodose vial from the strip at the top and then in the central part of the vial.
  • Shake well to homogenise the suspension, until complete re-dispersion obtained.
  • Open the monodose vial by rotating the twist off stopper.
  • Gently Squeeze the monodose vial content at the prescribed dose into the nebuliser chamber.
  • In case half dose used the vial can closed by pressing the stopper in the upside down position.

Clenil Inhaler Side Effects

As observed during therapy with beclomethasone dipropionate spray, mycosis in the mouth may occur. However rapidly regress after a suitable local therapy with alkalizers or antimycotics. At high dosages transient Clenil side effects may occur in some patients (moderate increase in heart rate, slight muscular tremors) disappearing after the first days of treatment, by reducing the dosage if necessary.

Systemic Clenil side effects are extremely improbable due to the low used doses. nevertheless, their occurrence may be favored by long term treatments. As for other inhalatory drugs, the possibility of paradoxical bronchospasm occurrence should be taken into consideration. Clenil Compsoitum Inhaler Drug Storage Instructions

Keep the medicine between 2C to 8C (in the refrigerator) if half of the drug used and must use the remaining medicine within 12 hours. Protect from sunlight and heat. Also keep all the medicines out of the reach of the children. Lastly, do not use any of the medicines after the expiry date which always mentioned on the packing
