Clinical Pharmacology Of Hivate Best Nasal Spray Cream & Ointment
Like other topical corticosteroids, Hivate (Mometasone Furoate Cream USP 0.1 ) has anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritic, and vasoconstrictive properties. The mechanism of the anti-inflammatory activity of topical steroids, in general, is unclear. However, corticosteroids are thought to act by the induction of phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins, collectively called lipocortins. It is postulated that these proteins control the biosynthesis of potent mediators of inflammation such as prostaglandins and leuktrienes by inhibiting the release of their common precursor arachidonic acid. Arachidonic acid is released from membrane phospholipids by phospholipase A2.
The corticosteroids a class of compounds comprising steroid hormones secreted by the adrenal cortex and their synthetic analogs. Meanwhile, in pharmacologic doses, corticosteroids used primarily for their anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects.

Hivate Lotion has indicated for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestation of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses.
Contraindication Of Mometasone Furoate Cream USP 0.1
Hivate Cream, Ointment, and Lotion are contraindicated in a patient with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the components in the preparation.
Hivate Dosage And Administration
Apply a thin layer of Hivate Cream or Ointment on the affected skin areas once or twice daily.
Hivate Cream and ointment may use in pediatric patients 2 years of age or older. Safety and efficacy of Mometasone Furoate Cream USP 0.1 and Ointment in pediatric patients for more than 3 weeks of use have not established. Use in pediatric patients under 2 years of age not recommended.
As with other corticosteroids, therapy should discontinued when control achieved. If no improvement seen within weeks, reassessment of diagnosis necessary. Hivate cream and ointment should use with occlusive dressings unless directed by a physician. In addition, Mometasone cream and Ointment should not apply in the diaper area. If the child still requires diapers or plastic pants as these garments may constitute dressing lotion.
Lotion Dosage And Administration:
Apply a few drops of Hivate Lotion to the affected areas once daily and massage lightly until it disappears. For the most effective and economical use, hold the nozzle of the bottle very close to the affected areas, and gently squeeze.
