Dyl Tablets Syurup Uses & Indications

For the relief of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis, perennial, ( non-seasonal) allergic rhinitis. Desloratadine is also use for the symptomatic treatment of pruritus and urticaria (hives) associated with chronic idiopathic urticaria. On the other hand, the medicine use the primary active metabolite of loratadine. Non-clinical studies conducted with this medication and loratadine demonstrated that there are no qualitative or quanlitative difference in the toxicity profile of it and loratadine at comparable levels of exposure to desloratadine. Non-clinical data with medication reveal no special hazard for humans based on conventional studies of safety pharmacology, repeated dose toxicity, genotoxicity, and toxicity to reproduction. The lack of carcinogenic potential was demonstrated in studies conducted with it and loratadine Generally the medications used for the treatment of symptoms associated with:

Dyl Syrup Tablets Dosage & Administration

Adults and adolescent (12 year of age and over): one tablets once day, with or without meal for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis ( including intermittent and persistent allergic rhinitis ) and urticaria. There is limited clinical trial efficacy experience with the use of desloratadine in adolescents 12 through 17 years of age: Intermittent allergic rhinitis (presence of symptoms for less than 4 days per week or for less than 4 weeks) should be managed with the evaluation of patients disease history and the treatment could be discontinued after symptoms are resolved and reinitiated upon there reappearance. In persistent allergic rhinitis(presence of symptoms for 4 days or more per weeks and for more than 4 weeks), continued treatment may be proposed to the patients during the allergen exposure periods.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the action substance, to any of the excipients, or to loratadine.
Warning And precautions
Efficacy and safety of these tablets in children under 12 years of age have not been established. In the case of severe renal insufficiency, it should be used with caution. Patients with rare hereditary problem of galactose intolerance, the deficiency or glucose galactose malabsorption should not take this medicine. Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction No clinically relevant interaction were observed in clinical trials with these syrup or tablets in which erythromycin or ketoconazole were co-administered. In a clinical pharmacology trial  the medications taken concomitantly, with alcohol did not potentiate the performance effect of alcohol.
Use In Pregnancy And Lactation
Desloratadine was not teratogenic in animals studies. The safety use of the medicinal product during pregnancy has not been established. The use of this drug during pregnancy is therefore not recommended. It also excreted into breast milk, therefore the use of these type of medicine not recommended in breastfeeding women. Overdose Symptoms & Treatment

In the event of overdose, consider standard measures to remove unabsorbed active substance. Symptomatic and supportive treatment  recommended. Based on a multiple dose clinical trials, in which up to 45 mg of desloratadine administered (nine time the clinical dose), no clinically relevant effect observed. Tablets and Syrups not eliminated by hemodialysis; It not eliminated by peritoneal dialysis.
