Busscopan Tablets Injection Syrup Contraindications
- Firstly, If you are trypersensitive (allergic) to hyoscine butybromide or any of the other ingredients of Buscopan sugar coated tablets
- Secondly, you have a mechanical stenosis (narrowing) of the digestive tract (due, for instance, to a tumour or a kink).
- Furthermore, you have megacolon (abnormal widening of the large intestine)
- If you have urinary retention caused by a mechanical narrowing of the urinary tract (due, for instance, to an enlarged prosate)
- Or you have narrow angle glaucoma
- if you have an abnormally fast heart rate, palpitations or an irregular heartbeat
- If you have myastenia gravis (a particular type of abnormal muscle weakness).
You should seek medical gravis immediately if severe abdominal pain persists or worsens, or occurs in conjunction with other symptoms such as
- Fever
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Changes in bowel movements
- Abdominal tenderness
- Low blood pressure
- Fainting or blood in the stools
Each Buscopan tablet contains about 41 mg of sucrose patients with certain rare metabolic disorders (fructose intolerance: glucose galactose malabsorption or sucrase isomaltase insufficiency) should not take Buscopan tablets.
Buscopan Syrup Injection Tablets For Children
Do not give Buscopan sugar coated tablets to children under 6 years of age as there is insufficient experience in this age group.

The anticholinergic possible side effects can occur to a more marked degree if Buscopan taken at the same time as other medicines. Which can have these effects as well, such as other anticholonergics (e.g. tiotropium, ipratropium and atropine like compounds), amantadine, tricyclic and tetracyclic antidepressants, antipsychotics, quinidine, diso pyramide and antihistamines. Taking Buscopan sugar coated tablets at the same time as dopamine antagonists such as metoclopramide can result in a reduction of the effect of both medicines on the muscles of the digestive tract. Furthermore, Buscopan can also add to the heart rate increasing effect of B sympathomimetics.

Buscopan In Breast Feeding
the passage of hyoscine butylbromide, the active substance of buscopan sugar coated tablets, into breast milk has not been studied. Medicines of this type can inhibit production and infants can react sensitively to such medicines. Buscopan Effects On Driving And Using Machines
No impairment would normally be expected to occur in patients taking buscopan at the intended dose. However, if symptoms such as tiredness, dizziness or impairment in near vision occur, the ability to drive and use machines may be impaired.
Buscopan Tablets Injection Syrup Dosage Administration
Always take buscopan syrup tablet injections exactly as your doctor or pharmacist advice you. However, you should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure about anything about buscopan medicine.
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is as follows:
Adults and children aged 6 years and over: 1-2 tablets 3 times daily (single dose: 10-20 mg hyoscine butylbromide)
Swallow the tablets whole with sufficient liquid.
Do not take buscopan sugar coated tablets for more than 5 days without medical advice. If you feel that the effect of buscopan sugar coated tablets is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Buscopan Tablets Syrup Injection Overdosage
If you take more buscopan than you should, please consult your doctor. Consequently, you may experience the effects after you exceed the recommended dosage.
If you forget to take buscopan
