No-Spa Tablets Injections Dosage
No-Spa Tablet Use For:
Age 1 to 6 years: Daily dose 40 - 120 mg (in 2 or 3 divided dose)
Age over 6 years: Daily Dose 80 - 200mg (in 2 or 5 divided dose)
Adults: 120 to 240 mg daily in 2 or 3 divided dose
No-Spa Injection Use For:
Adults: The usual dose is 40-240mg (1 to 3 parts)
<> In acute stone colic (renal and biliary) 40-80mg I.V.
Contradictions Details
For Tabs:
- Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or to any of the excipients
- Serve renal or hepatic failure.
- Serve cardiac insufficiency
- Children Under 1 year old.
For Inj:
- Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or to any of the excipients.
- Hypersensitivity to sodium disulfites.
- Serve renal or hepatic failure.
- Serve cardiac insufficiency
- Children
- It must not use during labor.
Warnings & Precautions
For Tab:
- In case of hypotension the administration of this drug needs increased calcium.
- Due to the presence of lactose, patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance. However, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabosrption should not take this medicine.
- Use of drotaverine in children has not evaluated in clinical studies.
For Inj:
- In case of hypotension the administration of this drug needs increase cautions. Meanwhile, when administered by IV route, the patient should be strictly in recumbent position due to the risk of collapse.
- This product contains disulfites which can cause allergic type reactions. Including anaphylactic symptoms and bronchospasm in susceptible people. Especially those with a history of asthma or allergy.
- In case of hypersensitivity to sodium disulfites parenteral administration of the drug should avoided.
- Caution should exerted when administering injection drotaverine in preganant women.
Instructions For The Use During Pregnancy
However, A limited amount of data about the use of this medicine during pregnancy is available. Meanwhile, Animal studies do not indicate direct or indirect harmful effects with respect to pregnancy and embryonal/foetal development. Nevertheless, caution should taken when prescribing to pregnant women.
Use In Lactation
However, The excretion of the medicine in milk has not studied in animals. Therefore, its administration during breast-feeding not recommended.
