Leozin Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride Uses And Indications
It is generally recommended in patients 6 years and above for the treatment of allergic conditions. Like allergic rhinitis (seasonal as well as perennial ), allergic conjunctivitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria .
Mechanism Of Action
However, this is a potent ,selective , peripheral H1 receptor antagonist with negligible effects on other receptors.
Leozin Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride Tablets Dosage
In adults and children older than 6 years;
Firstly, The recommended daily dose is 5 mg capsules.
In Children Of Age 6-12 Years:
5 mg capsule should given in two divided closes .
In Children Aged 2 To 6 Years:
The recommended daily dose of 2.5 mg in children of age 2-6 years. However it used in two divided doses .
In Patients With Renal Impairment:
Most importantly, the dose of this medicine in renal dysfunction should titrated as follows according to creatinine clearance of the patients
Contraindications Information
K- hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the ingredients or to medical products that contain piperznederivatives. If hypersensitivity reaction occurs, the patients should stop treatment and immediately report to the physician.
- Glucose galactose malabsorption

- Severe renal impairment

No medical product interaction studies have been conducted with Leozin. Since studies with the cetirizine show no interactions with ketoconazol ,azithromycin , diazepam , pseudoephedrine , cimetidine ,erythromycin and glipizide.
