  • Hemorrhagic tendency considered to involve systemically exacerbated fibrinolysis (Leukemia, Hypoplastic anemia, Purpura, Abnormal Hemorrhages during or after operations)

  • Generally transamic acid medications contraindicated in patients with acquired effective color vision. However, since this prohibits measuring once endpoint that should be followed as a measure of toxicity.
  • In patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage. Anecdotal experience shows that cerebral edema and cerebral infraction may caused by transamic acid in these type of patients.
  • Also contraindicated in patients with active intravascular clotting.

Tablets 250 MG 500 MG Transamin Capsules Dose:

For adults 750 to 2000 mg/day of transamic acid usually used three or four times a day orally. However, the dose should adjusted according to the age of patients and severity of symptoms.

Transamin Injections Dose

The usual normal dose for adult patients 250 to 500 mg daily intravenously or intramuscularly divided 1 or 2 times a day. During or after operation use if necessary. 500 to 1000 mg at a time given intravenously. Or 500 to 2500 mg given by intravenous drip infusions.

Meanwhile the usual normal dose for adults is 1 or 2 ampoules nearly 5 to 10 ml. Which used in divided 1 or 2 times a day intravenously or intramuscularly. However, used during or after operation if necessary 2 to 10 ampoules 10 to 50ml at a time given by intravenous drip infusion.

Transamin  500 MG Injection Dosage

The normal dose for adults is 2.5 to 5 ml divided into 1 or 2 times a day intravenously or intramuscularly. Meanwhile use it during or after surgery if necessary 5 to 10 ml at a time also given intravenously or 5 to 25 ml at a time given by intravenous drip indfusion.

Transamin S 1000 MG Injection Dose

As per WHO recommendation use transamin in post partum hemorrhage administered at a fixed dose of 1 g in 10 ml (100 mg/ml) IV at 1 ml per minute. With a second dose of 1 g iv if bleeding continues after 30 minutes or if bleeding restarts within 24 hours of completing the first dose.

Meanwhile in tooth extraction in patients with hemophilia administer 10 mg per kg body weight of transamic acid iv together with replacement therapy. Following tooth extraction iv dose of 10 mg per kg body weight three to four times a day may use for 2 to 8 days.
