Elezo Tablet Capsules and Syrup is a highly water soluble complex of iron and a low molecular weight polysaccharide used widely for the treatment of iron deficiencies. Absorption Of The Medication

• Usual adults dose of ELEZO 150mg is 1 to 2 capsules daily
• For patients who may have difficulty in swallowing capsules, the capsule can opened and the powder can diluted in liquid or sprinkled on food

Syrup Dosage For Prevention Of Iron Deficiency Anemia

• Children Age between 6 months ot 23 months : Use 2mg per kg per day
• Children age 24 months to 59 months: 2mg per kg per day use up to 30mg daily
• Child age 5 year to 11 years : Use 30mg to 60 mg per day
• Age Of 11 Years Or Above : Use 60 mg medicine daily

Dosage For The Treatment Of Iron Deficiency Anemia

Interactions may occur with these drugs especially chloramphenicol, penicillamine, methyldopa, levodopa, cimetidine, quinolone antibiotics (e.g. ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin). Avoid taking iron concomitantly with antacids or tetracycline antibiotics. Wait at least 2 hrs. between taking iron and antacid or tetracycline
